Dr Mark Wilding
Mark teaches HRM-related postgraduate modules, conducts research and supervises doctoral projects relating to work and employment. He has a PhD and MA in Labour Studies from the University of Manchester, a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Salford, and a BA (Hons) in Politics from Liverpool John Moores University. Mark is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Mark is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management. He teaches primarily on the MSc Human Resource Management. He leads the Research in Practice module and his teaching is informed by his research for the Institute for Research into Work and Employment (iROWE).
Before joining us in 2023, Mark worked at the University of Salford, the Catholic University of Korea, and Chung-Ang University. He has published widely on a range of topics broadly relating to work, including social enterprise, emotional labour, whistleblowing, and employment support among others. He has supervised a number of PhD to completion, and acted as an external examiner at universities in the UK and overseas.
