Madeline Hopkinson
Madeline teaches within the Pre-Registration Nursing team, across all 3 year of the exciting programme. As a registered nurse for 20 years, Madeline has gained a wealth of knowledge in this subject and is duel registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Teacher. Madeline is a Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has postgraduate qualifications.
Madeline has been a nurse teacher for 5 years and has a keen interest in acute care and the experience of pre-registration taking nurses making this transition from pre-registered to registered nurse. Madeline is part of the 'Adult Nursing Lecturing Team,' she does facilitate lecturers within the first year of the programme across of the fields of nursing.
Madeline has been a registered nurse for 20 years, enjoying her career predominantly within the acute care area of nursing. Prior to becoming a nurse teacher Madeline practiced with critical care areas, including as a sister within Intensive Care, High Dependency and Coronary Care.
