Dr Kayleigh Cook
Kayleigh is a veterinary surgeon with experience of both clinical veterinary practice and clinical skills teaching in a university environment. She has a particular interest in surgery and a strong belief that experiential learning is key to equipping veterinary graduates with the vital skills required to prosper in their future careers.
Kayleigh is involved in the development of teaching materials within the new veterinary school, utilising her experience of clinical practice and previous clinical skills teaching experience.
She has spent a number of years working as a mixed animal and equine veterinary surgeon in clinical practice in the UK. She undertook an equine internship at The University of Liverpool which fuelled her enthusiasm in veterinary education and clinical skills teaching. Alongside work as a full time equine vet, Kayleigh studied for a certificate in advanced veterinary practice in equine soft tissue surgery and a post graduate certificate in veterinary professional studies.
