Professor Kathryn Taylor
Kate is the Postgraduate Lead for Dental Programmes and teaches all aspects of undergraduate and postgraduate oral surgery and oral diseases. Kate completed her academic oral and maxillofacial surgery (AACOMS) in the Yorkshire region in 2013 and has expertise in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She has a special interest in managing anxious patients and in the management of medical emergencies in dental practice. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Kate is a member of the Teaching sub-committee of ABAOMS and is President of the Association of Academic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and has been co-author of a number of leading publications in undergraduate oral surgery education. She is reviewer for the Journal of Oral Surgery and has published extensively on medical emergency management.
Kate was awarded the Lady Estelle Wolfson Fellowship (RCS England) and performs a number of College roles. She is an examiner for Membership in Oral Surgery, ISFE Oral Surgery and MOMS (membership in oral and maxillofacial surgery).
