Karen Taylor
Karen teaches across a range of subjects for our BA, DA and MA Social work programmes. She has a particular interest in adult social work law and social work placements.
Karen is a module leader and contributes to teaching on several modules within the School. She is the equality, diversity and inclusivity lead for the school. Karen is interested in wellbeing and how arts-based approaches can have a positive impact on it.
She was a social worker and a senior practitioner in social work for fourteen years before becoming a lecturer in social work. Karen's social work experience includes working with adults in the community, in hospitals and in integrated multi-disciplinary teams. She has been a practice educator, working alongside student social workers on placement. It was this experience which inspired her to become a lecturer in social work.
