Gemma Spencer
Gemma teaches across a wide range of subjects in the adult nursing pre-registration programme. With a background in Haematology research, Gemma has a keen interest in research, and evidence based practice. Gemma is currently studying for her MSc in Clinical research exploring diet and nutrition in patients with haematological malignancies that she hopes to complete in July 2020.
Gemma teaches across a wide variety of subjects across the pre-registration nursing programme and has particular interests in research, evidence based practice and anatomy and physiology. Gemma is currently an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is working towards gaining Fellowship recognition. Gemma is currently studying for her MSc in Clinical research exploring diet and nutrition in patients with haematological malignancies, and is hoping to complete this in July 2020 and to continue this research and Doctorate level.
Gemma completed her nurse training at UCLan in 2011 and has worked in a variety of different settings including cardio-thoracic surgery, Haematology and Haematology research.
