Dr Peter Dixon

Dr Dixon teaches across a range of subjects on the Physician Associate course. His background is in General Practice and community based medical education as well as a GP Trainer and Appraiser.
Dr Dixon's current role is as a clinical tutor on the Physician Associates course where he covers a range of topics including clinical and communication skills. He is responsible for the revision course which prepares PA students for their National Examination and entrance to the FPA register.
Dr Dixon has an extensive background in General Practice having practised for over 30 years in a large north Manchester surgery where he was Senior Partner. For much of that time he was a community based medical student tutor and a GP Trainer. He holds an MSc in General Practice and is currently studying for an MSc in Medical Education.
