Abigail Allen
Abigail is a lecturer in Human Resource Management for our School of Business. She has a particular interest in employee relations and workplace inequalities. Abigail teaches across a range of subjects on our undergraduate, postgraduate and online learning programmes, alongside supervising postgraduate dissertations. Additionally, Abigail is currently undertaking PhD research around ‘religion as a workplace issue’.
In 2020, Abigail graduated from UCLan with her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. Whilst completing this postgraduate degree, Abigail found an interest in researching workplace inequalities, which led her to her current studies for her PhD. Alongside PhD studies, Abigail has module leadership and tutor responsibilities for a number of subjects, including Employee Relations, Managing the Employment Relationship, Strategic HRM Futures, and Research in Practice.
Prior to working here, Abigail completed an undergraduate degree in Sociology with an interest in societal inequalities. Abigail then trained to be a secondary school teacher, where she gained experience working in secondary schools and further education. This is where she found her passion for teaching.
