Welcome starts on Monday 14 September 2020, with most compulsory induction events and talks taking place online via Microsoft Teams. Many courses are running pre-arrival sessions over the coming weeks, dates and time of which you’ll find below.
It’s never too early to start thinking about the skills that will give you the edge as you start your study journey. The StudySwitch guide has been created to empower you and to highlight what support is available to help you make the switch to university. Explore the material at your own pace and get more from one or more StudySwitch live chats, running from 7 September to 11 September, 10am-4pm.
As part of your study programme and access to learning materials, you will spend some of your time online. Be sure to make the most of your online learning opportunities and to develop your understanding and confidence of technology, along with accessing resources – essential tools to ensure a flying start to university study.
This training session will give you an overview of COVID-19 and summarise the importance of the measures that have been put in place on campus. The training will include a number of questions at the end to ensure you have gained a good understanding of the requirements we have both as a University and as individuals, to further understand COVID-19 and the challenges we face in ensuring that everyone is kept safe while at UCLan. More information coming soon!
Please ensure you have installed Microsoft Teams on your computer, laptop or tablet so you can join in any timetabled sessions. Information on how to do this can be found on the LIS Web pages.
These events and talks will help you learn about the Support Services at UCLan, meet your course mates and tutors and help you prepare for when teaching begins.
