The University offers an Airport transfer Service for all new overseas UCLan students, arriving into Manchester airport, regardless of which country they have travelled from.
In the interests of the health and wellbeing of our UCLan community and in line with recent government advice around COVID-19, we are not yet in a position to open airport transfer bookings.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will update this page as soon as possible. Keep checking back for more information on airport transfers for September 2020.
UCLan’s Airport Transfer Service is free of charge, but is only available to students. If your parents or family members have travelled to the UK with you, they will need to make their own way to Preston by public transport.
Where possible, your transfer from Manchester Airport to the University will be by Coach, Mini Bus or Car. On any rare occasions where there is no transport available due to flight changes or flight delays, you may be asked to catch a train to Preston accompanied by a member of the UCLan Welcome Team.
Please note: If you bring more than two suitcases (hold luggage) and one piece of hand luggage (carry-on), you may be unable to use the Airport transfer service due to limited luggage space available. You would then have to make your own way to Preston.
For more handy hints and tips for your Journey to Preston please see our Arrival into the UK webpage.
