Becki Cross

In 2018, Becki joined us as an Associate Lecturer, teaching Enterprise to final year Tourism, Hospitality and Events students. Becki then headed "EntrEvents". This is a student-led event management service, which enables students to gain real-life experience organising and delivering corporate events, working for a client and delivering to a brief.

As a Lecturer in Business and Enterprise, Becki teaches on a variety of business, enterprise and marketing modules. Becki is the Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Business and Marketing degree and has module leadership responsibilities across a range of business and marketing disciplines.

Becki has a MSc in International Hospitality and Event Management and her MSc dissertation focused on the value of business events for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Becki is currently undertaking the FHEA and Enterprise Educator Awards.

Becki is an experienced event manager, event strategist, and small business owner. She has over 20 years of event management experience, specialising in conferences, exhibitions and B2B events with up to 14k attendees, and working throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.

Becki was also Deputy Editor for EventMB (now Skift Meetings) - the number one resource for event planners. She is passionate about business and entrepreneurship and set up her own company at 22 years of age.
