UK partner students - welcome induction 23/2401 / 01
Hear from our students
I got the opportunity to visit parliament to attend the event ‘Nuclear Week’
I was able to go and work on three music festivals doing stage tech work, it was an amazing experience.
What I loved about the course was that it was pretty much grab a camera, film, what you want when you want. You can take a camera out for as much time as you want. Even when Futureworks is closed you can still go and book equipment.
The atmosphere within the class always felt very relaxed and the tutors provided us with regular and clear feedback which was easy to understand and apply to our studies
Please note that you are required to enrol at both your college/institution and the University of Central Lancashire.
All students need to complete the registration process.
You’ll receive an email from us containing your student details: username, University email address, and guidance on how to create your password. You can then use your student account details to log onto the University network.
Firstly, you’ll need to enrol and then show a valid form of identification (such as a passport or driving licence) at your institution. Then, go to our UK partner enrolment pages to check what you need to do to enrol with UCLan. This is a dedicated enrolment webpage for partner students which explains each step of the process so you can ensure you have fully completed what is required.
If you don’t fully complete the registration process, then you won’t become an official university student and you may not be paid any student finance you were expecting or be eligible for your award.
With your student account details you can:
- Log on to your student portal
- Access your University email account
- Access the University’s library catalogue and e-resources
- Reset your password if you need to
To access any University facilities on the Preston Campus you’ll need a valid student card. You need to apply for your card online and upload a digital, passport-style photo. You’ll need your student registration number, which is a letter (normally a G) followed by an eight digit number.
Your student card will be posted out to your institution as soon as your student record has been activated.
If you have any questions about how to obtain your student card please contact the Library and Information Service on 01772 895355.
We want you to make the most of your time as a partner student, which is why The UK Partnerships Team organise a variety of activities that run alongside our welcome week and throughout September. These aim to provide you with information about studying at UCLan and the resources available for you.
