Are you passionate about a career in sports but don't have the formal qualifications for a degree? Our Sports Return to Study programme could be the perfect fit if you're 21 or older.

Why study with us

  • This free programme helps prepare you for study on one of our sports-related degree courses. These include Coaching, Exercise Science, Outdoor Adventure Leadership, Physical Education or Nutrition.
  • You'll be supported and assessed against the entry requirements. You'll then be eligible to apply for a foundation year or Year 1 of one of our sports-related degree courses.
  • This course takes a multidisciplinary approach to introduce you to various sport-related disciplines. It also provides a foundation in university study skills required for success.

What you'll do

  • Learn about the key concepts important to the theory and practice of a wide variety of sports-related courses.
  • Develop the academic and research skills required for university study. Helping you towards a career in the varied fields of sports and health.
  • Gain confidence and interpersonal skills. You'll also learn what would it would be like to study an undergraduate degree.

Future careers

During the Return to Study Sports course, you'll be able to apply to a range of courses within the areas of sport and exercise at Year 0 or Year 1.

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course. We'll asses your application based on a personal statement which you must submit as part of your application. This programme is only available to UK/home students.

This programme is free of charge.
